Feldspar
is not a single mineral, but a group of minerals, generally aluminum
silicates of either potassium, sodium, and calcium, is typically reddish
or pale pink in color, and has a hardness of 6. These feldspar specimens may also have biotite or muscovite mica, quartz and black tourmaline included and come from an area near Custer, South Dakota. Feldspar
is derived from the German "feld," field, and "spar," meaning a
rock that does not contain ore. Metaphysically speaking, feldspar is known to help with finding lost objects, self-awareness and using unusual methods of achieving goals. It is said to help with muscle and skin issues. |

Frog
Skin Serpentine is a hydrous magnesium silicate, and varies in color from
pale to deep forest green with spots or veins of black, and has a hardness
from 3 to 5.
Serpentine comes from various places throughout the world, but these particular specimens come from an area near Glenrock, Wyoming and is great rough for cabbing. The
name Serpentine, comes from its color and mottled scaly appearance from the
Latin "serpentinus," meaning serpent rock, and may refer to the belief
that this stone is a cure for snake-bite. Metaphysically speaking, serpentine is known for awakening the kundalini, working for the greater good, balancing emotions and past lives. It is said to be protective against snakebites and poisons, eliminates parasitic infections, helps with calcium and magnesium assimilation, replenishes energy and treats diabetes and hypoglycemia. |

Fuchsite is a chromium rich variety of muscovite mica, emerald green in color with a beautiful sparkly shine, and has hardness of 2 to 3. It crystallizes in sheet-like layers and masses. This brilliant green fuchsite comes from Brazil. The
name Fuchsite is from a 19th-century German geologist, J. N. von Fuchs.
The name mica was derived from the Latin "micare" which meant
"to shine."
Metaphysically speaking, fuchsite is said to enhance the body's ability to heal itself, and to increase the effectiveness of other minerals that are being used in healing. It eliminates submissive tendencies, helpful for those in law enforcement and holistic medicine. It is known to assist in balancing red and white blood cells, treat carpal tunnel syndrome and in aligning the spine. |

A geode is a rounded rock that has cavity partially or completely filled with crystals. The most common minerals found in geodes are quartz, amethyst, calcite and chalcedony. Geode is derived from the Greek word "geoides" meaning "earthlike". Geodes can form in any cavity, most often from the gas bubbles that formed when the lava flows occurred millions of years ago. Over time this slow circulation of minerals from groundwater and hydrothermal solutions produced crystals inside the cavity. The size, shape and color of the crystals vary, making each geode unique. Some are smoky or clear quartz crystals, and others have amethyst or citrine crystals. Others can have agate, chalcedony, or minerals such as calcite, pyrolusite, etc. There is no easy way of telling what the inside of a geode holds until it is cut open or broken apart. Please, wear eye protection when opening a geode to prevent injury. Metaphysically
speaking, it is said geodes can help with decision making and are
especially helpful for students or anyone with analytical pursuits such as
math and science. Known as the "shamans stone" they can help
bring about visions and altered states of consciousness. Geodes are known as
protection stones, to aid in spiritual growth, assist one in astral travel,
for soothing and de-stressing. |

Howlite is a calcium boro-silicate hydroxide, which forms in nodules, and looks like unglazed porcelain, usually white with black or gray veins, and has hardness of 3.5. This natural Howlite is from California and is great rough for cabbing. The
name Howlite, comes from Henry How, a geologist and chemist from Nova
Scotia, who first discovered it. Howlite
is famous for imitating other minerals. It accepts dyes easily and is often
dyed a turquoise blue, which is an affordable substitute for turquoise, but
is found in many other colors as well. Metaphysically
speaking, howlite is known to help eliminate pain, stress, rage, and rude
behavior, it brings patience and calm.
