Dry sluicing for gold is not only the fastest method for sifting gold from dirt and sand,
it is also the most economical, as a dry sluice box can be easily built.
A dry sluice box separates gold from gravel in areas where water is scarce. First introduced in the early 1920s,
the dry sluicing method for gold prospecting is popular in desert regions.
Also called a "drywasher," "jig," "shaker,"
or "dry blower," they work by pulsating up and down action of
the bellows. The canvas for the bellows is good shape with the
exception of an area up front. The grizzly is 1/4" square wire
mesh.
So, don't get wet, go dry sluicing.
